I was selected as a winner for the Spark Animation Fellowship 2024-2025, presented by the Latino Film Institute and sponsored by the Netflix Fund for Creative Equity. "The Apricot" is a 2D animated short film inspired by childhood memories of working on my late grandfather's apricot farm.

 

The completed short had a special screening premiere at LALIFF 2025. It went on to take home the award for Best Animated Short for Kids at the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology. The short continues to make its way to festival screens around the world--like Mexico and Japan!
