ABOUT ME

Alex (he/him) is a first-generation Mexican-American storyboard artist based in Los Angeles, CA.

His goal is to create stories that will transport audiences to someplace magical--whether it be a place of wonder and joy, or a dark place where fears and anxieties manifest into creatures of the night!

Alex has experience working on TV animation productions, both 2D and 3D/CG. He was selected as a winner for the SPARK Animation Fellowship 2024-2025 presented by LFI & Netflix. Through this fellowship, Alex will direct an animated short film, which will premiere at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival in 2025.

"As a kid growing up in the Central Valley, my favorite pastime during the restless summer nights was to walk around the house with my little CRT TV (which included a built-in VCR) and find a comfortable spot to watch my favorite animated films on VHS. Watching these films in a different part of the house would make it feel like I was watching them for the very first time again."
